James L. Gordon Council Attended the National Rover Camp (March 9-11) and the Handover Ceremony of the Asia Pacific Rover Peace Baton (March 10). Among the most memorable experiences is the Rover Vigil and Investiture Ceremony held at PNU Gym, from 6:00PM to 2:00AM (March 9-10). Newly inducted Rovers of the JLG/YMCA-GBC includes Angela Esquillo and Michael Beronio together with the Chairperson for Community Scouting Kenneth Guy Salvatus. The second thing is the attendance of the scouts from Olongapo Wesley School headed by their Troop Leader Mr. Leo Taduran. The Handover Ceremonies was attended by thousands of scouts from all over the country and some heads and representatives of Scouts Associations from the Asia Pacific Region. The BSP President Mayor Jejomar Binay was also present during the event to officially represent our country for the much awaited culmination of the Rover Peace Baton's 7-month old travel around the 23 member countries of the Asia PAcific Region.
