I. OPENING CEREMONY

The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gregorio M. Elane, Council 1st Vice-Chairman at 10:30 in the morning. Prayer was lead by Hon. Edwin J. Piano, followed by the singing of the Pambansang Awit by Mr. Ernie Asuncion, Council Executive Board Member, Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat by Mr. Ariel Bermas of Olongapo City Elem. School, and Rededication to Scout Oath and Law by Mr. Maximo G. Venzon.

Council 1st Vice Chairman Gregorio M. Elena expressed his warm welcome and voice out to the Board members and officers of the Council to strongly support the Scouting movement of James L. Gordon Council, in behalf of Council Chairman James “Bong” Gordon, Jr., who was attending another important meeting.

A. Council Report

Council Scout Executive Alberto C. Baviera, Jr. updates the Council Profile from January 2004 to December 2004 regarding Membership Report, Advancement Report, Tenure Report, Financial Report Council Budget of year 2005.

B. TREASURER’S REPORT

The Financial Statement of the Council for the year 2004 was reported by Council Executive Board Member and Treasurer Mr. Marcelino D. Andawi. He reported that our income share of the BSP raffle tickets was not declared in the Financial Statement of 2004 for the reason that there are more tickets sales to be collected. Council Board Treasurer Marcelino D. Andawi encourage the Board Members and Officers to help the Council generate more funds. CSE Baviera, Jr. called the attention of Institutional Head SPED-G and Program Commissioner of James L. Gordon Council Mr. Roland M. Fronda to be in-charge for the collectible BSP tickets sales. The collectible tickets sales go to Council fund for the month of January 2005 as per Mr. Baviera, Jr.

C. CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES

Council Scout Executive Mr. Alberto C. Baviera, Jr. discussed highlights the Calendar of Activities for the year 2005.

D. ELECTION OF BOARD MEMBERS AND OFFICERS

Council Scout Executive Mr. Alberto C. Baviera, Jr. gave the floor to Ms. Nenita Abrajano , Olongapo City GSP Commissioner and NOMELEC Chairman. Ms. Abrajano ask the body which type of voting to be implemented in the election of Board members and officers. The body approved the “Hand Style” voting

III. INDUCTION OF OFFICERS ELECTED

Council Scout Executive Mr. Alberto C. Baviera, Jr. announced the tentative date of induction of the newly Council Board Member and Officers on February 19, 2005, Ferdinand M. Aristorenas Hall, Olongapo City. The date was tentatively set for Council Chairman approval. The attire will be the Scouters Safari jacket as agreed by the Council Executive Board and Members.

IV. TURN-OVER OF CSE POSITION

Retiring Council Scout Executive Mr. Alberto C. Baviera, Jr. turn-over his position to incoming Council Scout Executive, Mr. Mark Anthony M. Orpiano. Council 1st Vice-Chairman Yang Elane congratulate and expressed his full support the incoming Council Scout Executive. Mr. Mark Anthony M. Orpiano, graciously accepted his appointment and pleads for continuous support from the Council Executive Board and Fellow Scouts and Scouters.

V. OTHER MATTER

Retiring CSE Alberto C. Baviera, Jr. advised the Council Executive Board to provide a resolution appointing Mark Anthony M. Orpiano for the position of Council Scout Executive. He also request for a resolution to update the signatories of James L. Gordon Council account.

There being no more matters to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 11:55 am, after the Scouters Benediction led by Scouter Richard Calimbas.
