A RESOLUTION FINALIZING THE DATE OF HOSTING OF THE COUNCIL’S INVITATIONAL VENTURER AND EAGLE SCOUTS’ RENDEZVOUS
AND SET THE DATE FINAL DATE ON JUNE 10-12, 2006


WHEREAS, the James L. Gordon council has initially approved the hosting of an Invitational Venturer and Eagle Scout’s Rendezvous on May 4-6, 2006 and was recognized by the NCR/CLR Regional Committee thru a Regional Memorandum No.4 S. 2006 issued last April 19, 2006 during the CLR Regional Committee/ K3 meeting and election at Gerona, Tarlac.

WHEREAS, the council sees the event as an avenue to gather scouts who are holder of the two (2) highest ranks in Philippine Scouting, the Venturer and Eagle Scout (or its equivalent). This Rendezvous also endeavor’s to strengthen the scouts awareness to the prevailing situation of our country and how they could be of help.

WHEREAS, the council also considers this event as additional promotion for local tourism and local scouting, and thus, takes its pride to ensure that the event will be smoothly run and handled with the seal of excellence in order to provide each participant with a memory really worth pondering for. WHEREAS, Some National and Local Activities was found to be in conflict with the initial date issued and requested by the project proponent; such as but not limited to the Palarong Pambansa (May 1-18, Naga), and the ANCM and BIMP-EAGA Urbavn Jamboree (May 24-June 2)

WHEREAS, due to this reason, most DepEd officials, Local Government Officials, scouters and other scouts who are also active in Sports and/or preparing for the ANCM/BIMP-EAGA and/or their own local council’s activities have signified their concern/suggestions for the Rendezvous to be reset on another date, which, as suggested, be scheduled on the first week of June 2006.

WHEREAS, in due consideration and careful study of these factors, the Local Executive Board hereby issue this resolution to finalize the date of the Invitational Venture and Eagle Scouts’ Rendezvous to June 10-12 (Sat-Mon), in time with the 108th Philippine Independence Day Celebration. The mechanics and details of the original Rendezvous proposal will be maintained except for the date and line-up of daily activities.

WHEREAS, The Regional Memorandum No. 4 S.2006 is hereby considered as integral part of this resolution.

NOW THEREFORE, upon unanimous accord of all the Council Board Members and Members present, be it.

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by Council Board of Directors in session assembled to finalize, as it hereby finalize the date of the Invitational Venturer and Eagle Scouts’ Rendezvous from the original date of May 4-6, 2006 to the new schedule on June 10-12, 2006
RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the NCR/CLR Regional Scout Committee, the National Headquarters and the council’s originally invited for the said activity.
